INTRODUCTION TO THEATRE (trimester) Ms. Wildman
| In this class, students work on a variety of theater projects designed to develop self-confidence, creativity, and communication and listening skills. No special acting talent is required - our explorations of theater take place in a supportive environment where everyone can succeed. Students engage in acting games, reader's theater, monologues, puppetry, improvisation, and scene work, using both original and adapted materials. They learn to critique performances using appropriate theater vocabulary. In addition, students learn about the historical and cultural dimensions of theater by performing in different styles. |
