6th Grade-

Welcome to an exciting year of discovery! In the sixth grade we begin our journey into the past with the beginning of human development. We will continue into the earliest civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Israel, India, China, Greece and end our year with Rome. We will look at how each civilization developed its own unique culture and how these ancient civilizations helped the modern world evolve into the amazing place we call home today.

7th Grade-

Welcome to an exciting year of exploration! In the 7th grade we will begin our journey into the past by reexamining the reasons for the fall of Ancient Rome. Our journey will take us to the continents of Europe, Africa, South America, North America, and Asia. During the year we will encounter the eastern cultures of medieval Japan and China, and the birth of Islam and its spread into Africa. We will visit the earliest empires that  developed in the Americas, and finally end our year with Europe's development from feudalistic society to enlightened thinkers.
