Be prepared for state testing. You will need to check out a laptop if you don't have the CASecure browser.
State Testing for All Students
When:

May 4-7: 8th grade Science CAST (in Science classes, regular schedule)

May 11-14: All grades ELA and Math CAASPP (in ELA and Math classes, block schedule)

May 15,18: Make-ups (called from PE classes)
Headphones needed:
All students are requested to bring their own wired headphones or earbuds for ELA testing.
Laptop Requirements:
The software is installed on all LVUSD devices. If a student's personal device does not have the software installed, they'll need to check out a laptop from the library in order to be able to test. Please check out a testing laptop by April 30th! During testing there will only be swap-out services (no new checkouts).
If students have an LVUSD laptop at home which they rarely use, they'll need to charge it, turn it on, and make sure it is ready to use BEFORE APRIL 30th. If it has problems or needs updates, drop by the library ASAP to swap it out.
Browser Installation: (not required)
If you are interested in installing the CASecureBrowser on the personal device, it can be downloaded by following these installation instructions.
- Windows - fairly straightforward
- Macbook - downloading is easy but you must disable "spaces," "keyboard," and Siri before you can use your secure browser. Please watch this video for details.
- Chrome - not available for personal devices
