Summer School Concurrent Enrollment

If you wish to take a summer class and bring the credit back to CHS, you must complete, submit, and have the form linked below approved for all courses taken outside of LVUSD. Courses must be pre-approved before enrollment; otherwise, we cannot guarantee credit on your CHS transcript. (Please note: It can take up to a few weeks to receive notification regarding your request/approval.)

  • Deadline to apply for Summer Concurrent Enrollment: Friday, June 19, 2026.
  • Deadline to complete Summer Concurrent Enrollment courses: Friday, August 14, 2026.
  • Transcripts for pre-approved courses completed in the Summer Term must be submitted to the CHS Registrar by August 15th, 2026.

Additional Reminders Regarding Concurrent Enrollment:

  • Registration via an outside institution is the responsibility of the student/family.
  • Pre-approval through our application process is required to receive credit on your CHS transcript.
  • Outside institutions utilized for Concurrent Enrollment must be UC/A-G approved and WASC Accredited. You can find a list of previously approved institutions HERE. (Note: Athletes must ensure the institution is also NCAA approved!)

Important Notes and Reminders:

Concurrent Enrollment LVUSD

  • Concurrent enrollment is limited to 10 credits per year (40 credits total across all four years of high school).
  • Concurrent Enrollment for Fall/Spring is possible with pre-approval; however, students will not be approved for courses offered at CHS during the school year.
  • Some courses are not eligible for Concurrent Enrollment advancement. For example, all students must take English during every semester of attendance and math during their first six semesters (9th, 10th, and 11th grades) at an LVUSD high school.
